Avery, Ally and Millie

Just another afternoon in the backyard at grandma and grandpa's.  While summer might not be in full swing just quite yet for most of us, Ally, Avery and Millie might argue differently.  These pictures were taken  on a Sunday afternoon after great food and fellowship. Oh to be a kid again...

Waylon

Waylon, aka "W" or "Way" just might be the greatest dog of all time.  Waylon celebrated his 15th birthday in February.  I have had him since back in my college days and he truly has been the all time greatest dog. He may not be able to run as fast or jump as high as he use to, but his loyalty is unchanged.  These pictures were taken just weeks ago out in the front yard.  What a great looking lab!!

San Diego

A recent business trip to San Diego gave me the opportunity to go out a little early and see some of the sights. Most of the pictures you see here are taken at the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. If you have never been to the San Diego Zoo it is definitely a must see. The ticket to get in was very reasonable (only $28) and we were able to see probably 80% of the exhibits in about half a day. Now, it was just me and Liz so not having a family or kids with us definitely allowed us to move at a much faster pace. All in all the animals were incredible and the San Diego weather couldn't have been better. Balboa Park in itself is a must see and the San Diego Zoo should be at the top of your list of things to do in San Diego!!

Comfort, TX

Comfort, TX is located 45 miles NW of San Antonio and 72 miles west of Austin.  It was established in 1854 by a group of German immigrants and the downtown area is possibly the most well preserved historic business districts in all of Texas.  Over 100 structures date back to the 1800's. Early one morning I grabbed a large coffee from Starbuck's and went out to Comfort to take in the "sights".  Here are the highlights...

Paris, France

A couple of years ago I spent 2 weeks in Paris on vacation.  The first 4-5 days were a sightseeing whirlwind tour.  After that, it was 9 days of blending into the Paris scene.  It is an amazing city and not just because of all the cool sites and museums but for the "feel" and lifestyle the Parisians exude.  Don't get me wrong, there is no place like America, but Paris is a good place to visit...at least for a couple of weeks.

Lily Jill

It really is hard to believe that an entire year has already gone by since Kyle and Elissa traveled half way around the world to meet and bring home their beautiful adopted baby girl Lily Jill. In that year she has been surrounded by an amazing number of family and friends that love and care for her.  She has quickly been introduced to the "Texas" way of life and just yesterday she experienced her first ever crawfish boil.  She is an amazing little girl and a true blessing.

Noah Bernard

Last summer Eric and Shannon visited from Louisiana and a couple of hours in the backyard with a $30 inflatable pool and a $8 garden hose and we were able to get some pretty good pictures of their son Noah.
