Comfort, TX is located 45 miles NW of San Antonio and 72 miles west of Austin. It was established in 1854 by a group of German immigrants and the downtown area is possibly the most well preserved historic business districts in all of Texas. Over 100 structures date back to the 1800's. Early one morning I grabbed a large coffee from Starbuck's and went out to Comfort to take in the "sights".
